Last week we tested the Fire Cloak USA in collaboration with the Edmond, OK Fire Department, OSU Fire Services Training, and Prosol UK.  The goal was to test the EV Fire Blanket and provide the local fire departments with first hand training on how to use an EV Fire Blanket to contain and EV Fire. From start to finish the entire process took about 15 minutes.  The fire reached over 1200 degrees Fahrenheit and then the blanket was deployed.  Once deployed within 45 seconds the temperature dropped to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the car cooled, the EV Fire blanket was removed, at which point the car reignited (normal for these vehicles). The fire department was then able to extinguish the flames. It took about 5 minutes for the blanket to be deployed, car to cool, and the fire to be extinguished. Traditional EV and Hybrid vehicle fires can take several hours to extinguish and on average require about 20,000 to 60,000 gallons of water.

The EV Fire Blanket worked quickly and effectively as an aid to the fire department to contain the fire and cool the car. The Fire Cloak USA is a must have for every
